Highway Tow bowsers are fully type-approved for use on public roads, featuring braked axles, road-legal lighting, mudguards, and suspension. Site Tow bowsers are built on low-speed chassis without lights or high-speed brakes, designed strictly for off-road use on private sites, farms, or quarries.
Yes. Trailer Engineering manufactures tanks that are fully UN-approved as IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers). This certification is essential for the legal transport of diesel on public highways under ADR regulations, ensuring the tanks meet strict structural and safety standards.
The Polycube is a stackable, bunded tank featuring a corrosion-free polyethylene inner and outer tank secured within a galvanized steel frame. This design makes them incredibly robust for construction sites, allows them to be stacked (2-high full, 3-high empty), and prevents fuel contamination.
Yes. Most Trailer Engineering tanks come as standard with 'feed and return' ports, allowing you to run up to two generators simultaneously even while the cabinet lid is locked. This makes them ideal for standby power and construction site applications.
Every tank is 110% bunded, meaning the outer shell acts as a secondary containment area that can hold the entire contents of the inner tank plus a 10% margin. This ensures full compliance with UK Oil Storage Regulations and prevents ground contamination in case of a leak.
Trailer Engineering offers a wide range of dispensing setups, including 12V, 24V, 110V, and 230V electric pumps, as well as manual semi-rotary hand pumps. For high-volume requirements, petrol-driven engine pumps can also be fitted.
The polyethylene inner tanks are approved for 10 years and are naturally rust-proof. The steel frames and lids are typically galvanized to prevent corrosion, providing a long service life in harsh outdoor environments.
For diesel transport in the UK, if you are carrying under 1,000 litres, you can often operate under 'Small Load Exemptions' (ADR 1.1.3.1c). However, for volumes exceeding 1,000 litres, the driver must hold a valid ADR license and the vehicle must be appropriately marked.
