Yes. Our petrol tanks are manufactured to meet strict safety standards, including UN/ADR approval for the transport of dangerous goods. Petrol has a significantly lower flashpoint than diesel, so these tanks are engineered with specific safety features like flame arrestors and vacuum relief valves.
Petrol is highly flammable and volatile. Petrol tanks are made from specialized conductive or anti-static materials to prevent the buildup of static electricity, which could lead to a spark. They also feature explosion-proof pumps and high-grade seals that won't degrade when in contact with gasoline.
Only if the tank is specifically rated for petrol. Our plastic petrol tanks are made from high-grade, fluorinated, or high-density cross-linked polyethylene. This prevents 'permeation' (petrol vapor seeping through the plastic) and ensures the tank remains structurally sound.
Yes. Any electric pump used with petrol must be ATEX/Ex certified. This means the motor and internal components are sealed to prevent any internal sparks from igniting the flammable vapors. We offer both 12V and 230V ATEX-rated dispensing kits.
Petrol storage is strictly regulated under the Petroleum (Consolidation) Regulations 2014. Generally, for non-workplace storage, you can store up to 30 litres without notifying your local Petroleum Enforcement Authority (PEA), but larger volumes in a workplace require specific licensing and site risk assessments.
Our mobile petrol units (like the CEMO range) include an integrated nozzle holder, a safety vent for pressure relief, and an internal baffle to prevent fuel surge during transport, ensuring the vehicle remains stable.
Yes, our tanks are suitable for both standard unleaded petrol and pre-mixed 2-stroke fuel. The materials used are resistant to the oils found in 2-stroke blends.
Yes, we offer 'Petrol Trollies' and compact totes (ranging from 60L to 190L) fitted with manual or 12V pumps. These are perfect for refueling lawnmowers, chainsaws, or boats where a permanent pump is not available.
