When connection to the main sewer is not feasible, the Marsh 55000 Litre Cesspool provides a robust, compliant, and durable storage solution. This non-treatment system is designed to hold 55,000 litres of raw effluent until it can be safely removed by a registered waste carrier.

Installation Ready with Integrated Features The tank comes with a unique 'keying-in' lip to ensure solid anchoring during installation, whether you opt for a granular or concrete backfill. Integral lifting eyes facilitate safe and efficient positioning on-site. For installations in high water table areas, we recommend concrete backfill to secure your investment and ensure compliance with the manufacturer's warranty.
Essential Safety and Liner Options While cesspools require regular emptying, we strongly recommend including the optional high-level alarm (available in 240v) to provide an early visual and audible warning when the tank is near capacity. If you plan to store aggressive effluent like silage, Elsan waste (chemical toilet waste), or animal waste, be sure to select a model with the appropriate chemically resistant liner to protect the tank's structure and maintain your 25-year guarantee.
While the Marsh cesspool is built for durability, certain aggressive wastes require special protection. Effluents such as silage, chemical toilet waste (Elsan), and concentrated animal or kennel waste can chemically degrade the standard GRP structure, potentially causing leaks and immediately invalidating the manufacturer's warranty. To safely contain these aggressive liquids, the cesspool must be specified with a chemically resistant liner, see product options.
