The storage and charging cabinet is designed for indoor use to safely store and charge Lithium-ion batteries, primarily intended for batteries used in electric bicycles, e-scooters, hand and garden tools, drones, walkie-talkies, and similar devices.
GENERAL OPERATION
VDMA
The cabinet has successfully passed the VDMA test, conducted according to the strict requirements of the VDMA in a certified and designated testing centre. This test proves the quality and strength of the cabinet and guarantees a reliable and safe solution for storing and charging lithium-ion batteries.
Smoke and temperature detection
The cabinet is equipped with smoke and temperature detection for a quick warning in case of a fire hazard.
Doors and locks
There are two self-closing doors with door contacts. These register if a door remains open for longer than 5 minutes, and the charging will automatically be stopped. The doors are equipped with a multi-point locking system and can be locked with a key.
Power strips
Each level is equipped with a power strip on the rear wall, featuring 8 outlets for charging lithium-ion batteries. The maximum current is 16A per outlet. The power supply is standard 3-phase. Connectors from 380V to 240V can be optionally provided.
Shelves
The shelves are designed to prevent fire spread between the different levels and have a load capacity of up to 70kg. There are 4 adjustable shelves provided, allowing the distance between the shelves to be adjusted.
Shelf Grid
Four adjustable shelf grids to adjust the distance between shelves. The shelf grids have a mesh structure and a carrying capacity of max. 70kg. Support Footrests The cabinet is equipped with adjustable footrests and can be moved with a pallet jack from all four sides, ensuring quick movement of the cabinet outside in case of incidents.
Power Strips
Each level is equipped with a power strip on the rear wall, featuring 8 outlets for charging lithium-ion batteries. The maximum current is 16A per outlet. The power supply is standard 3-phase. Connectors from 380V to 240V can be optionally provided.
Ventilation
The LOXK2000 VDMA is equipped with forced ventilation to keep the temperature inside the cabinet within acceptable limits.
Pressure Relief Valve – Exhaust System Connection
At the top of the cabinet, a unique overpressure system is provided, which can be connected to an exhaust system with a 2000mm diameter. The overpressure system will restore any built-up pressure to normal atmospheric levels.
Connection to Fire Alarm System
The cabinet can be wired to the fire alarm system of your building.
Aerosol Fire Suppression System (optional)
The cabinet can be equipped with a certified aerosol fire suppression system. Upon smoke detection, the aerosol will be immediately activated and spread throughout the entire space of the cabinet. The aerosol cools and controls the battery.
