The 1-door fire cabinet designed to store lithium-ion batteries safely across 4 perforated shelves. Each Battery Storage Cabinet has been certified to 90-minute fire resistance (EN 14470-1 TYPE 90) meaning in the event of an internal or external fire, there is 90-minutes of protection against it allowing for an appropriate permanent solution.
The cabinet is made entirely of 1-1.5mm of thick cold-pressed sheet steel which is painted with anti-acid epoxy powder. Behind each steel wall is special insulation consisting of high-density fibre panels (ceramic fibre-free) for high temperatures (800 °C).
In a fire situiation, once temperatures reach over 47 °C, the doors have an automatic hydraulic closing system to contain fires along with closing valves (70 °C). for air inlet and outlet pipes. Included in the build are anti-spark hinges which guarantee excellent door stability and all-round safety.
As standard, each unit comes equipped with a key-operated lock & door block system, height-adjustable feet and 2 small grids for passive ventilation found on the back wall.
To ensure the safety of people and goods, we have created these safety storage solution for Lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries present many risks of which thermal runaway can be due to a rise of temperature of the environment, a shock, or a problem of assembly of the battery. The consequence is that the battery can ignite dangerously and cause a fire, our Lithiim-Ion Secure Cabinets are designed to negate this risk.
